Ter Stegen among 10 nominees for best save of Champions League season 2014/15 The nominations were made by the Football and Technical Observers Committee at UEFA in conjunction with staff at UEFA.COM
Up until 25 August football fans can vote for the best goal and best save from last season's Champions League on the UEFA official website. Europe's governing body of football have opened up voting to the public and three of the candidates are from FC Barcelona: Leo Messi and Neymar are amongst the finalists for best goal of the season whilst Marc-André ter Stegen is one of the ten nominees for best save of the season.
The goal selected by Leo Messi was the one he scored in the 2-0 win over Bayern Munich at Camp Nou in the first leg of the semi-finals, the famous strike where he leaves Boateng for dead and then lifts the ball over Neuer.
The other blaugrana goal is the one scored by Neymar following some great work by Andrés Iniesta against PSG . It was the second goals of the first leg of the quarter-finals at Camp

The save that sees Ter Stegen amongst the ten nominees is his double efforts against Bayern Munich in the Allianz Arena. It came in the 40th minute of the match with the German keeper saving from Lewandowski and then scrambling back to clear the ball off the line, allowing Barça to retain their lead at half time.
