Nigerian woman shot dead by her ex-boyfriend outside Target store in Maryland

A 24 year old woman identified as Marie Shade Adebayo was shot dead yesterday June 1st by a man believed to be her ex-boyfriend outside a Target store in Milestone Center, Montgomery County, Maryland.

Police have arrested 27 year old Donald Wayne Bricker Jr for the murder. According to NBC Washington, witnesses said they saw Shade and Donald involved in some sort of altercation inside a vehicle prior to the shooting. Shade then got out of the vehicle and Donald followed.

Investigators say Donald fired his gun at Shade, striking her. According to police, he then walked up to her and fired again. He then took off in a white Ford Ranger. He was arrested by police an hour later. A gun was recovered at the scene of the crash, police said.

Kim K reacts angrily after Wendy Williams says she's using a surrogate

Kim reacted so angrily on Twitter this evening that Twitter contacted her to be sure she hadn't been hacked because the things she wrote were so unlike her. The pregnant reality star got really angry after Wendy Williams said on her show that Kim will use a surrogate for her second baby but will try to deceive the public with a prosthetic belly. Wendy told her audience;

"They're saying that they could possibly be using a surrogate from Thailand who's allegedly living in Kanye's Manhattan Beach home, and they're also alleging that Kim will buy prosthetics to baby up for every month."

Kim didn't find that funny and blasted Wendy Williams. See her reaction on Twitter after the cut...

Defence Chief speak on the outcome of their meeting with Buhari

President Buhari met with Service Chiefs at the Defence House Abuja earlier today. At the end of the meeting, Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Usman Jubrin, spoke to state house correspondents. He said their meeting was to brief President Buhari about the current security situation in Nigeria.

"Since he was inaugurated as the President and Commander in Chief, this is the first time that we are formally meeting him to give a general security briefing of the country and that went very well. i think we have been able to provide insight into the security situation of Nigeria" he said

On the presidential directive to move the military command to Borno state, Vice Admiral Jubrin said the military chiefs will go back and work on the directive and then get back to President Buhari.

All problems of Nigeria cannot be solved in one day - APC Chairman

The Chairman of APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun yesterday called on Nigerians to give the new administration led by President Buhari some time as the problems of Nigeria cannot be solved in one day. Odigie-Oyegun said this at the Defence House Abuja when he led members of his party's National Working Committee to pay a solidarity visit to President Buhari yesterday June 2nd.

He said their visit to President Buhari was to declare the party's support for him.

"We told him we are with him and that he will succeed because the entire party will be galvanized as one man behind him to ensure that days into this Presidency that Nigerians will indeed see that things are changing. All the problems cannot be solved in one day but what Nigerians want is to be sure that we are getting it right and that we are on the proper path towards addressing their long frustration towards ameliorating their condition and that is what they will get."he said

Major roads leading into Ado-Ekiti, the state capital have been blocked since yesterday with heavy duties vehicles by some residents of the state as the crisis between the state Governor, Ayo Fayose and 19 APC Lawmakers continue.

The roads, according to reports, were blocked to ensure that the 19 APC lawmakers who are currently at loggerheads with the Governor and are lodged at the Sonap Hotel in Osogbo in Osun state, do not gain entrance into the state to carry out their planned impeachment process against Governor Fayose.

Governor Fayose and the Lawmakers are now fighting over their unpaid entitlement since November 2014 when they were "impeached" from the state House of Assembly by PDP lawmakers.

According to Governor Fayose who spoke on Channels TV, he said he had a meeting with the aggrieved Lawmakers last week where they told him that the issues will be resolved after he pays them their salaries which backdates to November 2014.

Governor Fayose said because he craved to have peace in his state and avoid breakdown of law and order, he consented to their wish and immediately released Cheque for their salaries to be paid. Cheques of N2 million and some fraction was given to the lawmakers each but they refused to accept the Cheque, saying their salaries cannot be only N2 million when calculated from November 2014.
