The horrific incident took place at Shaw's Supermarket, in Saco, Maine, at around 2.54pm on Wednesday August 19th. Two paramedics, who were already in the grocery store at the time, were unable to save the victim and she died shortly after the attack. Brave shoppers who witnessed the bloodbath heroically took down the assailant and prevented her from getting away.
Connor MacCalister, has been arrested for the murder and is currently being held at the York County jail.
