Khloe Kardashian on Friday returned to husband Lamar Odom's hospital bedside after taking a break to support her boyfriend James Harden at the Houston Rockets home opener on Wednesday. The reality star who insisted she's not planning to get back with Lamar yet or if all all, was spotted at the Houston Rockets Denver Nuggets game on Wednesday cheering on James Harden before returning to LA to continue to be there for Lamar...
"I pulled back on the divorce because there is no rush for it. For medical decisions and a ton of other things, it's just smarter that it's put on hold. But that does not mean I'm back with Lamar. It's not even in our brains to think about us having a relationship. Only time will tell." she told People Mag

A young couple moved into a new neighbourhood. The next morning while eating breakfast, the young woman saw her neighbour through the window hanging the wash outside.

"That laundry is not clean," she said. "She doesn't know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap".

Her husband looked on, but remained silent. Every time the neighbour would hang laundry to dry, the young woman would make the same
comments.

About one month later, the woman was surprised to see nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband: "Look, she has learnt how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this!"

The husband replied: "I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows."

And so it is with life.

A publisher of a slain online critic of religious militancy was hacked to death in the Bangladeshi capital, police said, hours after similar attacks wounded two secular writers and another publisher.

Faysal Arefin, who was killed on Saturday in Dhaka, published books by Avijit Roy, a US citizen of Bangladeshi origin who was murdered in the same way in February.

The body of Arefin, the 43-year-old chief of the Jagriti Prokashoni publishing house, was found inside his office. The perpetrators had locked the office before carrying out the attack, police said.

Arefin's father, Abul Kashem Fazlul Haq, a noted intellectual and writer, said: "I rushed to his office at Aziz Market and broke the padlock, and I saw him lying upside down in a massive pool of blood. They slaughtered his neck. He is dead."

Jamaluddin Mir, a police officer, told Al Jazeera that at least seven other people were trapped inside the office when the attack was carried out.

"The criminals introduced themselves as customers who were buying books and entered the publishing house," he said, adding that an investigation to identify the attackers was under way. See another photo below.

Screen goddess Genevieve Nnaji has opened up on her new movie  Road to Yesterday which is set to hit the cinemas nationwide soon, and how it relates to her..She also advised not to take any one for granted when it comes to love..Excerpts from her chat with Daily Sun...

What inspired the production of the film at this point in time?
Having waited for something of interest for me to do to entertain my fans; having missed the craft, I did not find anything of interest. So, I figured that I had to take my future in my own hands and produce the type of movie that I want to be associated with at this point in time. I mean a film that will reflect my growth as a person and as an artiste, and also where I feel the industry should be turning towards. It is a statement in so many ways. It just felt like the right time to do it.
Does any part of the film reflect anything about Genevieve either as an individual or thespian?

That is the fact that I don't dwell on bad situations for too long before moving on.
If you were to advice a Genevieve on how best to protect her relationship, marriage and image, what would you say to her?
I would tell her never take anyone for granted. If you love someone, don't waste time in letting them know. Life is too short and we have to make every minute count

Amelia Morris
A mum whose two-year-old daughter only has months to live has launched a fundraising campaign to give her a magical last Christmas.
Little Amelia Morris, who is nearly three, has Tay Sachs disease, a rare genetic disorder that causes progressive damage to the nervous system.
Her mum Whitney Morris, 21, from Wigan, has launched a campaign on gofundme so she can transform her home into a Christmas wonderland decked out in hundreds of lights.

The mum-of-two told Manchester Evening News : "The last time we spoke to a doctor they said Amelia only had a few months left.
"We thought of what she loves doing and she loves lights and music. I want to light up the whole house for her.
"We've asked a hospice for some charity buckets and we'll have them outside if people want to make a donation."
Whitney said she and her husband Jonathan Morris were 'in pieces' when they found out the devastating news and that Christmas would be 'bitter sweet' this year.

She said: "We found out when she was about nine months old. We were in pieces. Amelia suffers from seizures, her eye sight is bad and she isn't very mobile.
"We're in and out of hospital with her all of the time. My husband had to quit work so we could be with Amelia.
"We just want to raise awareness about our campaign and also about the disease."
Whitney said Amelia's little sister Emily, who is only one, can see that her sister is not well.
She said: "Emily can see that her big sister can't play with other children. She knows something is wrong.
"But Amelia doesn't really know what's going on, she can't understand."
The family's campaign has so far raised £915 out of £1,000 target in eight days.
The Cats Foundation (Cure & Action for Tay-Sachs) have been in touch with the family providing care and support.
Daniel Lewi and his wife Patricia founded the charity when their six-year-old daughter Amelie was diagnosed with the condition.
Mr Lewi said:"As a charity we have a family support officer who visits the children, as they're too sick to travel.
"We've had a lot of contact with Amelia and her family, it's a really great campaign that they're doing to give her the best Christmas.
"People have been extremely generous."

The ‘New’ Side Chick: I Was Her

NOW THE NEWS IN FULL.....

Nov 1st 2015, 04:54

A side chick is commonly known as a mistress or a woman that's romantically involved with a man who is in a committed relationship.  However after doing some reflecting, I realize that's not the only type of side chick.

I want to discuss "the new side chick"–a woman who decides to stay by a man's side after he has expressed his lack of relationship intentions with her through his words or actions.  So many women have made this mistake at least once in their lifetime, and unfortunately I've done the same thing.

I like to think of the new side chick as an appetizer.  You're there just to satisfy the immediate appetite of the man, but as soon as that mouth-watering entrée comes out to the table, you will get pushed to the side, literally.  Why?  Because that entrée is what he really wanted; he went to the restaurant to order steak, not hot wings.  You were just a placeholder, fling, temporary commitment, or  maybe even just a "good ol time" until what he really wanted was presented to him.  I know I sound a bit harsh, but even I had to realize my then-reality for what it was.  Simply put: you are not and will never be his Queen.

The truth hurts, but it can only make you stronger.
I would like to open up about my experience with this one particular guy where I found myself playing the new side chick role.  I will refer to him as "Jake".

From the moment Jake and I met, we immediately clicked.  I could talk to him about anything. We would laugh and joke on the phone for hours and help each other out.  He was so supportive, encouraging, and respectful.  We had such a beautiful and strong friendship.  I was attracted to his mind, personality, and character.  However, it was the magnetic chemistry and connection we had that made me fall for him.  He became my best friend.
I thought this was it. He could possibly be the 'one'.
We began talking every day, multiple times throughout the day.  As time went on and our feelings for each other grew stronger, our actions began to reflect a "more-than-friend-on-the-verge-to-a-relationship" type thing.
At this point, I fell for him.  I had given my heart to a man who was not mine.
I need to pause my story and say this: Queens, we need to learn to stop giving too much too soon.  Proverbs 4:23 says "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything flows from it."  It's impossible to guard your heart when you're always giving it away.  I think it's beautiful that God created us to be nurturers and emotional.  However, we are too quick to give away our time, body, money, and emotions to men who have not EARNED it.

A Queen will not have to audition her love to her King.  Her King will already recognize her worth, virtues, and beauty.  Stop giving away so much of you that you end up with nothing for yourself.  Better yet, stop giving away so much that a man has nothing else to work for.  At this point you're an emotional wreck.  You go out and try to fill that void of emptiness through other men, food, material things, etc, but always come up short.  Queen, only GOD can fill you up after you have depleted yourself.  Go to Him, not the world.

I am speaking from experience.  Though I never gave Jake my body or money, I gave him way too much of my time and emotions even after he expressed to me that he did not want a relationship.
Before a woman gets too involved with a man, she should find out what his intentions are and listen carefully to his answer.
When I asked Jake what his intentions were with me, he said:  "I like you and I see you as someone for the long-term. However, I am young and I know I still have a lot of playing left to do, so I'm not ready for a relationship."  That reason eventually evolved to him saying he doesn't want a relationship because he's focused on school and his internship.  He wanted to secure his future first.
I thought those reasons were valid, and that's why I still stuck by his side.  Plus his actions toward me did not change, so I figured he really wanted to be with me; it was just bad timing.  I thought that one day, once he got the "play" out his system and completed his internship, he would be ready.  So, I continued to allow myself to get more attached emotionally and mentally.

I wish I knew then what I know now:  A man who really wants to be with you will find every reason to be with you.  A man who does not want to be with you will find every excuse why he can't be with you.
Queen, don't make the same mistake as me.  You can't change a man nor his intentions with you.
Months went by and we continued our usual routine.  He ended up completing his internship and securing a job post graduation.  I noticed a slight behavioral change toward me and confronted him about it.  He ended up telling me that he met somebody new and wanted to explore his options with her now that he had his future secured.
And just like that, I was pushed to the side.

I was so hurt, frustrated, and disappointed.  I remember thinking: "I've been building and talking to this guy for 9 months.  How dare he pushes me to the side to pursue someone else.  I was the one who always held him down, supported, and helped him.  Now that he's "played" and secured his future, he decides to talk to someone else.  He wasted my time!  How dare him! This is not fair!"
Eventually I had to turn the mirror to myself and take responsibility for my actions.  I was the one who decided to get attached to a man who verbally expressed to me that he wasn't ready for a relationship.  I was the one who allowed a man to stick around in my life for 9 months with no type of commitment attached.  I settled for this type of treatment because I did not see myself worthy of something better.  I thought I would never find anyone comparable or better than Jake if I walked away.  At that point in my life, he was the best I ever had, and I was afraid to let that go.

I am sure many of you are or know someone who is holding on to relationships and 'situationships' that God never brought together.  As the year is coming to the end, I want to challenge all Queens to step out on faith, trust God, and release that dead weight.  For 2015, I challenge you to redefine your worth and standards according to who GOD says you are and to never accept any treatment that demeans you.

Get that peasant off your throne and make room for the King that God wants you to build an empire with.  Stop giving your body away to someone who's not even giving you a real commitment.  Stop cooking all of these gourmet meals for that man who can't even take you out on a real date.  Cut off the guy that keeps coming in and out of your life because he doesn't know what he wants.  Indecisiveness is a decision.  Make the decision for him and let him go.  Stop acting like an uber to some of these men who won't even catch a taxi for you.  Just because he sends for you, doesn't mean you need to come.  Pick up your crown and wear it with dignity and class.
Some of you right now may be trying to justify in your mind on why you can't let go and move on.  You've fell in love with the "what if", his potential, and what it could be if you stayed.  Queen, stop embracing the fantasy and accept your reality.

I know it's easier said than done to cut off someone you have invested in and have feelings for, but that's where your FAITH comes in.  Is your trust in God or the "option" of men you "see" around you?  When me and Jake abruptly ended, I went on a "man fast".  I decided to focus on my relationship with Jesus and allow Him to mold me into the woman He called me to be.  I decided to not focus on my "still single" status and the lack of man options around me.  All of that time and emotion I would've given to Jake, I gave to Christ.  I learned that the more I put into Christ, the more He puts into me.  I took back my crown and regained peace, joy, confidence, purpose, and love.

Man's rejection is God's protection!  Jake was never fit to be My King.  I can't thank God enough for protecting me from a what would've been unfulfilling and purposeless relationship.  Since then, God has showed me that there are better men than the "Jakes" of this world.  He's introduced me to much better when I least expected it.  If He did it for me, have faith that one day He will do it for you. :-)
Be blessed.
Sincerely,
KING

We told you yesterday that Odunlade wasn't dead (HERE)!

Well, the popular Nollywood Yoruba actor, Odunlade Adekola, has described as surprising the rumor that armed robbers stormed his home in Abeokuta, Ogun State on Friday night and killed him.

He said, " I heard the rumour just the way everybody did. I was called by a friend on Saturday who told me that the rumour of my death was all over social media platforms especially Facebook. I later discovered that there is a Facebook page where the discussions took place with many persons making comments about my rumoured death.

"I do not own the Facebook account and do not know how it came about. My Facebook page does not allow for interaction. Fans and friends can only make comments on the pictures posted there. My Facebook account is Odunlade omo Adekola while my Instagram account is Odun omo Adekola."

Asked if he knew why there was such a rumour about about him, the tall, talented role interpreter said, "Honestly, I do not know. I find it really surprising. I thank God Almighty God for continually keeping me. I also appreciate my fans both home and abroad for the love shown to me."

What we see when watching others depends on the purity of the window through which we look.

Easy to discuss other people, their lives and things that don't really concern us.

Yet we tend to forget- our window isn't that clean after all.

Clean up your window with the WORD! (THE TRUTH.)

LORD, please give us the strength, humility and courage that we may work on our faults first rather than seeing the faults in Others and castigating them.

Have a beautiful Week !

A 71-year-old blind man, Meshack Igbokwu, on Thursday slapped his pregnant daughter-in-law in Ugbolu, near Asaba, the Delta State capital.

It was reliably gathered that the victim, with a five-month-old pregnancy, had disagreed with the old man over his choice of food at night, which led to an altercation between both of them.

According to Punch, the septuagenarian was said to have allegedly slapped the woman when she moved closer to him.

The blind old man said,
"I was paid house rent by my tenant and I asked my daughter in-law to prepare eba (cassava meal) for me as I went to the bathroom to take my bath, after which I discovered that she prepared akamu (corn meal) for me.
"The money I put under the pillow was removed and this prompted me to call one of my tenants who paid me earlier to count the money, only to discover that the money was short of N5,000."I called my daughter (in-law) who shouted at me, saying I am blind."
Eye witnesses of the fracas said the old man asked the woman for his money and why she prepared akamu instead of eba for him. She was said to have been infuriated by the queries and allegedly insulted him, which made him to reportedly slap her.
She was said to have fallen to the ground and was taken to a hospital by neighbours, where she was revived.
The matter was reported at the Ugbolu Police Division.

NOW THE NEWS IN FULL.....

Top comedian, Teju Oyelakin, host of the popular comedy show, Teju Babyface,  loves his wife to a fault. In a recent chat with Potpourri, he explained why she is the best woman for him.
"I married the best woman on earth. Sincerely, I got much more than I deserve in this regard. She is the best of all women"

"My marriage has improved my career and also made me responsible. My marriage is great and gets interesting as the day goes by. I fended and thought for myself as a single man. I was also a bit reckless then. I am more responsible as a married man. I am an expert when it comes to women and I know a good one. She is one of the good ones and I will always appreciate her. She was kept for me", he said.
Sharing his most romantic experience with his wife, he said

"My wife is far from the traditional romantic woman, which is the exact reason I married her. She is not the type who would jump at a gift without knowing the reason behind it. She is a very serious minded type who does not really need a man before getting things right. She doesn't crave for attention like many women do. There was a time we forgot our wedding anniversary and when we remembered, we laughed at it. I would not have lasted with a woman who will nag or sob at things like that. She is a strong woman. And that is the best romantic experience I enjoy with my wife.
