Man arrested by EFCC for N3.3bn scam

Success is not really about the amount of money you have.Strippers  earn as much as 150,000 naira weekly exposing their naked bodies in clubs.Also, some politicians steal public funds,and leave their people to suffer.The list of ungodly means of making money are endless.Can we say people who make lots of money by ungodly means are successful?The likes of Bill Gates and Aliko Dangote can never be poor simply because they have a solution to some of human problems.Bill Gate helps solve the problem of information technology. .Dangote helps solve the problem of getting some basic needs like salt,cement,flour,steel,oil and gas and real estate.I think success is fulfilling your destiny on earth,and achieving your vision.A lot of rich people today are not successful.What is your own definition of success???

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC,  arrested a man, Dr. Kunle Adeshola, for issuing a forged draft to the tune of N3.29bn in a phoney land deal.

The EFCC said Adeshola presented himself as Director, Corporate and Management Service, Amazon Inc; and entered into a contract with Atkan Services Nigeria Limited for the purchase of 50 units of flats in Abuja.

The anti-graft agency spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, said:

"The director subsequently presented a bank draft no 081758 in the sum of $19,930,900 purportedly drawn by Deutsche Bank in favour of Infinity Trust Savings and Loans Limited.

"But the draft was returned unpaid after Stanbic IBTC Bank discovered that it was forged and reported the fraud to the Central Bank of Nigeria.

"The apex bank consequently reported the matter to the EFCC."

Uwujaren said the suspect had sometime ago been arrested and prosecuted by the EFCC for impersonating an Assistant Commissioner of Police but that the charges were struck on the grounds that they were not related to financial crimes.

 

EFCC spokesperson said the suspect would be charged to court for this new crime.
