The Belgian defender is replaced by Mathieu after 27 minutes during the game in the Vicente Calderón

The Barça first team player Thomas Vermaelen has a calf problema in his left leg and his recovery will dictate his presence in the coming training sessions.

The Belgian defender suffered the injury in the first half of Saturday's game in the Vicente Calderón against Atlético Madrid. Vermaelen was replaced in the 27^th minute of the game by Jérémy Mathieu.
