The defender downplayed the defeat against Manchester and stressed that one of the goals of the preseason is 'keep improving'
"The important thing is to pick up pace, get minutes, and get in shape," said Marc Bartra at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara. The centre back stressed that "we'll try to keep improving in all aspects" and recalled that "pre-seasons are there to continue to improve and get better for the next game."
Bartra also talked about a new tactic in the game against Manchester United: the presence of Sergi Roberto as right wing-back. "Sergi is a versatile player who is fast and can play anywhere."
Jordi Masip, meanwhile, said that "we're getting into better shape; Manchester was better physically and we've done good work and it has to continue."
