A Look At The Risks And Unintended Consequences From The Russian Military Campaign In Syria

A young couple moved into a new neighbourhood. The next morning while eating breakfast, the young woman saw her neighbour through the window hanging the wash outside.

"That laundry is not clean," she said. "She doesn't know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap".

Her husband looked on, but remained silent. Every time the neighbour would hang laundry to dry, the young woman would make the same
comments.

About one month later, the woman was surprised to see nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband: "Look, she has learnt how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this!"

The husband replied: "I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows."

And so it is with life.

What we see when watching others depends on the purity of the window through which we look.

Easy to discuss other people, their lives and things that don't really concern us.

Yet we tend to forget- our window isn't that clean after all.

Clean up your window with the WORD! (THE TRUTH.)

LORD, please give us the strength, humility and courage that we may work on our faults first rather than seeing the faults in Others and castigating them.

Have a beautiful Week !

NOW THE NEWS IN FULL.....

Oct 2nd 2015, 19:00

War of words: News of the Russian strikes against the jihadists came as ISIS militants posted a tweet warning 'Death to Putin: We are coming #soon' with an image of Moscow's St Basil's Cathedral in flames (above)

Julian Borger, The Guardian: Russia in Syria: what damage will it do?

The risks and unintended consequences for the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, will grow greatly as time passes

Sending troops and military hardware into the middle of another country's civil war to prop up a ruthless and despised dictator rarely turns out well for anyone, and all the signs suggest that Vladimir Putin's adventure in Syria will be no exception.

Not all the damage Russia wreaks will be self-inflicted. There are likely be plenty of other losers. Most analysts agree that in the absence of a very quick pivot to diplomacy leading to a real political transition in Damascus, the intervention is likely to prolong the conflict and escalate it, drawing other regional powers in more deeply.

The only beneficiaries may be Islamic State (Isis) recruiters, who can only be grateful for the Russian orthodox church's designation of Putin's expeditionary campaign as a "holy war".

WNU Editor: The Islamic State is already tweeting pictures of Moscow burning (see above pic). What's my take .... the U.S. and other coalition countries have far more blood on their hands in the Middle East than Russia .... but for now .... the focus is going to be on Russia whether they like it or not .... and they are the number one target right now.

Update: David Axe has a good analysis on how Russia's intervention is going to make the Syrian conflict more "brutal" .... Russia Is Using Old, Dumb Bombs, Making Syria Air War Even More Brutal (David Axe, Daily Beast).

KEEP SCROLLING TO THE END ...WE STILL GOT LOTS MORE .......

Revenge is a Poison meant for others, which we end up swallowing ourselves. Vengence is a Dark Light that blinds all who seek it. Don’t argue with Idiots.. They will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.
